It’s the most famous criminal court in Britain, where some of the most notorious crimes have been tried. And while most of us hope we will never find ourselves in the dock at the Old Bailey, this documentary allows us to take a closer look at the building and its history. It finds that behind the imposing facade, there are 18 courtrooms, hearing some 1500 trials each year. But the most famous is Court One, where convicted killers including the Yorkshire Ripper and Doctor Crippen have been tried.
